A virtual challenge to ‘Race the River’ by completing over 220 miles / 354 km (the length of the River Severn) in your chosen method of physical activity. Track your digital data or plot your routes and submit your digital evidence to us to be awarded your wooden medal!
You choose if you want to walk, run, jog, swim, cycle or a combination of all methods!
How does it work?
Step 1: Sign up to the Challenge
Add this to your basket and you will automatically get entered into the challenge. Between 1st October 2024 and 30th June 2025, you’ll have 9 months to complete it! You can start and complete the challenge whenever you want or when you’re ready.
Step 2: Gather your data
Either plot your route on a map, gather your smartwatch/smartphone data from any app using screenshots that shows your distance travelled.
Step 3: Submit your results via email
Email proof that you have completed the challenge using app screenshots, such as Fitbit and Garmin or display park run stats to us before the 30th June 2025. Email your proof to : racetheriver @severnmega.org.uk
Step 4: Get your medal
Once we’ve reviewed your results, we’ll add you to the leaderboard and when the challenge is over, you can collect your wooden medal at the mega.
